Historical Profile of the C&S Movement Church, Mount Horeb Intercontinental District

On the 28h September 1995, I returned back to London – the journey, I referred to as the ‘Second Exodus”. Initially, a late friend (Boyeji) advised me, having retired from the Banking sector, not to let Church issue before forefront in my aspiration on this trip. Hence, I joined him to serve in Christ Apostolic Church for a few months. The first Exodus was 1973/76 when I came to study in the Uk; served at 175 Earlham Grove, Forest Gate E7 9AP We and returned back to Nigeria early November 1976. Early 1996, Most Senior Apostle Olumodeji came to London and enjoined me to join him in night vigil MII Kupoluyï’s residence at Hanwell of West London. Later, he advised me to setup a branch of C& S Movement. It sounds strange to me. I did not buy into the idea immediately. After a while, Pa S. A. Abidoye advised me similarly.

At this stage told both that l would have pray about it and as both were going to join the Spiritual Father J T Agboola in America, gave them my words that by the time they returned from that trip would have prayerfully secured a spiritual directive. Truly, I saw sign that I should go ahead with the Ministry before they returned to England. Hence after Group Captain Olumodeji returned, We turned the night vigil into a mini-Church. We moved into the big flat of Prayerist Nike -not far from Hanwell, but also situated in Greenford of West London. Nike had three to four children and the eldest was being trained to lead the service.

At Hanwell, Mil/Prophetess R. O Adeosun joined US in the the group Continued to grow, We moved the Church to Saint Michael Annex right vigil and later, through her, Senior Apostle Amudeli also joined Us. As the group Continued to grow we moved the Church to Saint Michael Anglican Church in Cricklewood. At this point a lady raised an issue of ownership of the Church. It was clearly clarified that God was and IS the owner of this Church. The church is that of the “Movement” and as shown at Registration, the documents of registration showed original signatories as

▪︎Special. Apostle S.A Abidoye (The then Distict Chairman)
▪︎Most Senior Apostie Olumodeji
•Senior Apostle/Pro. J. J. Ayanda
▪︎Mll/Prophetess R. O.Adeosun
The first Secretary of the Church was Mother in Israel Kupoluyi.

From many Crickwood, we moved to the Community Hall of West Hamstead, London NW6. It was not far frorn Cricklewood and this was where Mother Magaret Sonariwo and SMII Ogun joined the Church. Here again, Special Mother Dupe Abidoye, Lady Evangelist Ayobami and Tinuade Abidoye joined the Church.

Then Teacher Dr Michael Narebor joined the Church here before others, as he arrived shortly after a prophetess came and had taken away all the 35 members!. At this point MII/Prophetess Oyenuga joined the Church. She was, indeed, gifted and she was made the first Treasurer of the Church. Due to noise level, we decided to move into a school near Balam Station. It was there that Prophetess Oyenuga was in spirit and revealed that we should move to Woolwich Arsenal. I sent a team to go and explore Woolwich Arsenal for possible accommodation. They came back with a negative feedback to the effect that there was no vacant accommodation for a Church. About two or three weeks later, the same prophetess was in spirit again. It was revealed with precision that we should go to Spray Street near the Station and we would locate a vacant accommodation. This time, I
Decided to lead the team. As we moved along Spray Street, I called at Michael Meat shop 2 and I told him about our accommodation need. He pointed upstairs that we should go and inspect the vacant offices, When we got there, it was precise: it suited our needs! We negotiated and agreed rent.

We moved in, opening it officially in August 2003. Prophet O O Bukuye and Ademoroti famililes joined us at Spray Street around 2004. Special Apostle Ade Animashaun’s family also joined in Spray Street around 2005, likewise Special Mothers Elizabeth Ayanda, Felicia Bawala, Felicia Apata, Apostle Adegoke MSA Oguntusi’s family, Tope Tjani and too and others to mention.
This is the address that the Chuch grew geometrically. First class miracles crystalized ranging from two cancer diseases completely healed, blessings galore and very recently, a certified person as dead was restored to life and tow barren women of 55 years dld delivered babies; one of them a twin at our Salvation Chapel in Mushin, Lagos. It was as if heaven descended into Woolwich, Prophetess Apatira went on trance for 7 days; later Prophetess Dunni Olarewaju went on a similar 7 days trance. A number o “Spiritual Candle Sticks also went 3 days trance each. The Church grew to such an extent that a Most Senior Apostle sat on the floor on New Year day. One Sunday, I went out on ecumenical trip, by the time that I returned to the Church, there was no space for me to step on the stair case. People had to stand for me so that I could go in via the stair case! Hence, there was much pressure to look for a bigger accommodation. We went through length and breadth of South East and South West of London to secure such a befitting accommodation.

We got one in the industrial area of Charlton, but Kenny made us lose it She pretended to be aranging for a mortgage for us, whereas she was doing nothing until the property was purchased by someone else! The offer for 602 Woowich Road came up. On the first day of bidding for 602, there were about 30 Churches/bidders, Pastor Ademoroti and l were discouraged and we simply went away. After a few weeks Pastor Ademorot got the wind that the property came back on market we decided to make an offer. Meanwhile, Mrs Ebigbola had identified a posh mortgage Consultant. His name is Pastor Olatunji Adebayo of TA Property Consultants Ltd. Pastor Ademoroti were sent to go and visit that Consultant offices in West London, Their two visit reports were excellent recommending that we should ahead. The Board of Trustees agreed to employ that Consultant later the final interview at Spray Street, He demanded payment of £4,730.22, which we obliged in two phases. He assured us to move into 602 once our offer was Accepted and that he knew well how to handle planing permission which would not present any problem unto us. We moved along his advice, more so that pressure was tense from members. When the consultant disappointed us, we went to attend the final auction of the building at Herts and succeeded at a bidding of £411,000 plus administration fee of £41,00, Neil Bromage care into the equation for final arranging a mortgage for us. He arranged for a bridging loan for 3 months, more so that Charity Bank had previously approved a line of credit for us. Eventually, Bromage pulled of the plug on us and exercised his right by selling the property to Ikon Estate Group. It was the worst ordeal that we went through in the life of the Church The property was sold, when fellow sister Churches forsook and were laughing at us! But God of Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase raised a ‘standard -a Muslim care to our rescue at the last minute!.

From the sale and lease back, Mount Horeb will repossess her possession in due course. Indeed, we lost a sizeable sum of money. Brothers, sisters and Churches deserted us. But as promised in Psalm 27: 10 ‘when my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord wil take me up”. The good Lord raised up a Muslim who purchased the property and lease back to us without moving out of the premises. In 2011, our Distict, Mount Horeb Intercontinental District, approved in 2010 Conference in Kano,
Inaugurated in London by the Spiritual Father Pro/Dr S A Abidoye. ,
