Welcome to Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry - About Us
The overarching goals and objectives of youth ministry revolve around nurturing the faith and development of our youth, helping them grow into disciples of Jesus Christ, and equipping them to engage with their faith within the community, fold, and world at large. This involves fostering personal spiritual growth, building healthy relationships, and providing opportunities for service and leadership.
We have dedicated youth ambassadors in every branch, trained to support and nurture the youth to become independent and confident adults within the Church and society.
Our Goals
- Spiritual Growth: Encouraging young people to develop a personal relationship with God, deepen their understanding of faith, and grow in their knowledge of the Bible.
- Discipleship: Equipping youth to become active followers of Jesus, making a commitment to faith, and living out their faith in their daily lives.
- Community Engagement: Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where young people feel a sense of belonging, build strong relationships with peers and leaders, and participate in the life of the church.
- Personal Development: Helping youth develop their identity, purpose, and leadership skills, while also fostering healthy relationships and addressing relevant social issues.
Our Objectives
- Encourage Personal Devotion: Help youth develop practices like prayer, Bible reading, and meditation.
- Provide Opportunities for Service: Engage youth in service projects, outreach, and mission work.
- Facilitate Meaningful Discussions: Create spaces for open dialogue about faith, life, and culture.
- Partner with Parents: Involve parents in the ministry, fostering communication and collaboration.
- Equip for Cultural Engagement: Help youth navigate the challenges and opportunities of their culture with a Christian perspective.
- Develop Student Leadership: Provide opportunities for youth to lead, serve, and influence their peers.
- Create a Safe and Welcoming Environment: Ensure a space where young people feel accepted, valued, and safe to explore their faith.
- Witness to Others: Encourage youth to share their faith with others and invite them to respond to Jesus.
